Wells Fargo Financing

Details on how to enroll and process Wells Fargo applications

Account Enrollment

Enroll for Wells Fargo financing by going to Settings > Subscriptions > Payment Options. You can sign up to use Wells Fargo in the system if you have a current Merchant Account with Wells Fargo.

Note: Details of all fees related to offering Wells Fargo can be found by following the “applicable fees” link on the application page. Once approved, Wells Fargo financing will add an additional $99 to the platform membership price for each month.


Application Process

Wells Fargo is not a loan, rather a line of revolving credit for your customers.

Use the Payment Options > Financing > Consumer Loan Application to submit a Wells Fargo application for a consumer line of credit.

At this time, Wells Fargo can not be added to proposals on the mobile app, or applied for via self-service by the customer.

Application Steps

Select the desired Wells Fargo plan, enter the Amount to Finance, and click Continue.

Work with your customer to fill in the application information. Click Next to proceed.

Complete a final review of the entered information.

After submitting, you will receive a one-time link to the Wells Fargo portal. Clicking Next will open access the Wells Fargo portal in a new tab. This is where you will complete the final portion of the credit application.

Note: If the application expires due to being abandoned in the Wells Fargo Portal or the Next link isn’t clicked within 10 minutes, you will see an Expired summary screen is displayed. You have the option to resubmit the application from this screen.

After completing the application in the Wells Fargo portal, you will receive a summary decision screen in WEX FSM.


Once approval has been received, you will be presented with line of credit offers on behalf of your customer. Select the desired offer then click Next to proceed.

Review and check the consent and acknowledgment boxes, before clicking the Authorize button to authorize payment.

The applicant is shown a final confirmation page of their payment authorization with timestamps when the PDF copy was emailed.

Note: The applicant may also cancel the authorization at this point if they wish to.

Note: this is an authorization only. This does not process the payment and the customer does not have to begin payments at this time.


Payment Acceptance

When the job is complete, navigate to the Financing Dashboard to view and accept payment. Review the payment information, confirm, enter your name, and click Confirm Payment.

After clicking confirm payment, a final confirmation screen will appear. This page contains a printed copy of the receipt if needed.
