The sync between WEX FSM and QuickBooks Online works similarly to the sync with QuickBooks Desktop. Customers, invoices, payments, and other records sync the same way you're used to in QuickBooks Desktop. However, there are a few important differences to keep in mind before making the switch:
Key Differences:
Automatic Syncs:
QuickBooks Online syncs automatically every 10 minutes (e.g., 10:00 AM, 10:10 AM, 10:20 AM). There’s no option to manually sync, pause syncing, or use a sync management tool.Subcustomer Limitation:
If you currently use subcustomers in QuickBooks Desktop without automatic location association, note that WEX FSM will only sync data to the Parent Customer level in QuickBooks Online.Data Coverage:
Intuit will transfer data from your QuickBooks Desktop file to your Online account. However, WEX FSM can only sync transactions from the current calendar year. Be sure to review and resolve any existing sync errors in your Desktop file before migrating.
How to Change Your QuickBooks Type in WEX FSM:
If you need to change which type of QuickBooks you're syncing to or want to start syncing for the first time, follow these steps:
In WEX FSM, navigate to More Applications > Data Center.
Once the Data Center opens, select Change My QuickBooks Sync.
Follow the prompts provided in the chat interface. This process will guide you through submitting any data that is required.
The data team will guide you through the remainder of the setup process and will be available to answer any questions throughout.
